December Celebration!

My grandson's birthday is my favorite celebration in December which happens to be the challenge at The Male Room!

He is into so many sports that I went with a sports themed card.  I used a Gina K set - Sporty Accessories, stamped, colored with Touch Twin markers and cut them out.  The sentiment is from The Paper Studio.

I'm also squeezing in one more Christmas card for the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #150 CAS Chrsitmas.

Cardz 4 Guyz Logo

Stamped the tree from Stampabilities on kraft with WPlus9 white ink, then stamped again with green ink.  Smudged a little more white ink over the tree and wiped off with a paper towel.  Stamped the sentiment in red.  Using my MISTI makes multiple stamping so much easier!

Thanks for dropping in!

I thought this cute  snowperson has a country look to her so this is the direction I took.  The image was in a bag that someone had gifted to me and I don't know who it is by. Colored with Touch Twin markers, white Souffle gel pen on the hat and black glaze pen on the eyes, nose and buttons.  Added the little sign and stamped Merry Christmas on it (from Gina K).  The wood look on the sign is a stamp from Concord & 9th.  Die cut the Tim Holtz tag with some plaid paper and added the stitched scalloped edges.  Tied on some raffia to finish it off.

Thanks for dropping in!

Metallic washi tape was used to make the stripes on the background.  Lined up the sentiment with my MISTI and stamped in Memento Nautical Blue on the aqua tag.  Stamped, cut out and colored the little reindeer and added some Stickles to the nose.  It seemed to need a little something, so I added the green squiggle for a wreath in lime green.  Added a red Raindrop circle to the tag topper and finished off with a aqua baker's twine bow.

Thanks for checking it out!

First I stamped the wood background from Concord & 9th in Memento Rich Cocoa on kraft, added a die cut star and then stamped the big JOY also from Concord & 9th with the Rich Cocoa.  Used the coordinating JOY die to cut the letters from some Gina K Turquoise Sea cardstock, then added some clear Wink of Stella to the letters and adhered over the stamped JOY.

We have the very talented Cecile Ribon with us again this week as our November Guest Designer!  Come on over to the JUGS blog to see what Cecile and the rest of the Design Team have created with these awesome colors.

Started this off with a purple polka dot card base.  Stamped the globe with Delicata Golden Glitz ink on some teal cardstock and die cut with a circle die.  Stamped the JOY and TO THE WORLD in purple ink even though it looks almost black in the photo and then added some Wink of Stella to the JOY.  Matted with some mirror gold cardstock and added the fishtail tag (it's the same teal as the globe but looks so much darker).

Just Us Girls #369 - Trend Week

Bobby is our hostess at Just Us Girls for our Trend Challenge this week and she has chosen the trend of Metallics!

We have with us again this week as our Guest Designer - Cecile Ribon!  Come on over to Just Us Girls to see what Cecile and the rest of the Design Team have created using Metallics.

Metallic surfaces are so hard to get a good photo of!  I started by die cutting a Vintage Violet tag and added the gold striped piece and the silver and gold tag topper, all by Reverse Confetti.  Die cut an ornament from some silver and white Metallic Foiled cardstock.  Added the foiled die cut bow and some scraps of the foiled purple as a ribbon to top off the tag.  Stamped the sentiment by Tim Holtz and layered onto some more Vintage Violet and edged the edges with s gold Sharpie marker so that it wasn't lost against the tag.  Used a swirly embossing folder on some DCWV Metallic Stack purple and then sanded it a little.  Stamped the little stars from WPlus9 in Delicata Golden Glitz.

Come and play along with us at Just Us Girls and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Just Us Girls #368 - Word Week

It's Word Week at Just Us Girls and it's my turn to host the challenge.  My Word is Encouragement.  There are lots of situations in which someone needs encouragment.  Maybe they are battling a disease, just lost a job or life just doesn't seem to be going their way and just need a little Encouragement.  Do you know someone who could use a little Encouragement?  Come play along with us and give someone a lift that they may need right now.

I would like to welcome our November Guest Designer - Cecile Ribon all the way from France!  Come check out how Cecile and the rest of the JUGS Design Team are inspired to create with the word Encouragement.

This is another card for my niece who is continuing her battle against breast cancer and just to remind her how truly beautiful she is.  I used a pre-watercolored card base and stamped some leaves and flowers from Concord & 9th.  Die cut the sentiment from some Coredinations Glitter Silk cardstock.  It's hard to see it in the photo, but it is black glitter.

Come play with us at Just Us Girls and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running to become our next Guest Designer.  Please limit your entries to 3/
