Just Us Girls #384 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen the Trend to use a stencil.  There are so many things you can do with a stencil!

Nance Salkkeld is with us again this week as our March Guest Designer.  Come and check out what Nance and the rest of the Design Team at JUGS have created using stencils.

First I started with a chevron/arrow strip stencil down the right side using Multi-Medium (because I couldn't find my texture paste).  When that was dry, added some light blue ink smeared partially over that strip and then stamped a brush stroke over that in the same color.  Added a wavy chevron stenciled area in a darker blue.  Added the splatters, also a stencil in yet a darker blue.  Stamped the little coffee stain circles in the light blue and darker blue.  Die cut the butterfly from Concord & 9th from some glitter cardstock and enhanced it with some Touch Twin markers.  Added the sentiment from Altenew.

Come and play along with us at JUGS and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

This is a fantastic mixed-media card, Sue. All those stencils in shades of blue made a wonderful background for your glitter butterfly.

Fabulous multi-stenciled mixed media, Sue! Inspires me to break out my texture paste and multi medium supplies. And love how you made it all monochromatic blue too.
