Just Us Girls #421 - Photo Week

It's the last Saturday of the month and that means it's time for a Photo Challenge at Just Us Girls and I LOVE the photo Vicki has chosen for our inspiration!

This is our last week with our Guest Designer, Trina Pham and I would like to say THANK YOU for sharing all of your awesome designs with us this past month!  It's not only Trina's last week with us, but also our last challenge of this year.  The JUGS team is going to take a break for the month of December to be able to have time to prepare for the holidays and have more time to spend with our families.  Now come on over to JUGS to see what Trina and the rest of the amazing JUGS girls have created with this photo as inspiration.

Pretty simple!  Stamped the large Gina K ornament (again) with blue Brilliance ink on white, added the silver hanging cord using platinum Brilliance and die cut topper.  Stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts with Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy.

This one uses a Studio G set from Michael's.  Stamped the trees with Versamark and heat embossed with silver ep.  Colored in the middle tree with a turquoise Stardust gel pen and added the dots on the outside trees with a red gel pen.  Stamped the sentiment in Memento Teal Zeal.

Just Us Girls #420 - Color Week

It's time for Color Week at Just Us Girls and Angie has chosen a very versatile color combo for us.

We have Trina Pham with us again this week as our Guest Designer!  Hop on over to the JUGS blog to see how these colors inspired Trina and the rest of the Design Team.

Stamped the script panel from Gina K in Memento Rich Cocoa on Ivory.  Stamped the ornament, also by Gina K onto some Turquoise Sea cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed with some aged gold embossing powder.  Added the die cut ornament top and die cut gold bow.  Layered onto some dark brown cardstock and a Turquoise Sea card base.

Sketched Joy

Another Christmas card, this time using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch!

A lot of shine on this by using all Brilliance inks and so hard to get a good photo.  Used a really old SU alpha set for the J and Y, the globe, sentiment and stripes from various Concord & 9th sets and the rays are a stencil..

Thanks for taking the time to take a closer look!

Tree in Snow

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

And also the theme from Cardz 4 Guyz - Challenge #182 - Oh! Christmas Tree

Cardz 4 Guyz

Stamped the tree and colored with Distress Inks.  Added some Nuvo Glitter paste on an angle in the lower left corner for snow.  Used some light blue Shimmer Mist by dropping some on my kraft mat and using a water brush to color the rest of the panel.  Shimmer and glittery surfaces are so hard to get a good photo!

Thanks for dropping by!

Just Us Girls #419 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week at Just Us Girls and  Lisa is our hostess and she is challenging us to do some Silhouette Stamping!

Come on over to the JUGS blog to see what our November Guest Designer - Trina Pham and the rest of the Design Team have created using Silhouette Stamping.

I started with a piece of tissue paper that had been placed on some spritzed Oxide Inks on my kraft mat.  Adhered to a piece of cardstock after it dried.  Stamped the big floral image with black ink and then added some black Wink of Stella.  Stamped the sentiment also in black.

Come play along with us and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would put you in the running for a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

CAS(E)d Christmas

Working on my Christmas cards and loved the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!

I used a premade green watercolor card base from Concord & 9th.  Stamped the Stampendous holly and berry image and used Prismacolor pencils to color it, then adding some red Wink of Stella to the berries.  Stamped the sentiment directly onto the card over the image and heat embossed with red ep, but it didn't show up very well, so stamped it onto some white, die cut it with a fishtail flag die, stamped some little holly leaves, added a couple drops of Viva Decor paper in red then added a little touch of red Stickles to the berries.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just Us Girls #418 - Word Week

It's time for Word Week at Just Us Girls and Maria has chosen the timely "Thankful" to inspire us.

I would like to welcome our November Guest Designer - Trina Pham.  Visit the JUGS blog to see what Trina and the rest of the talented Design Team have created with the Word Thankful.

Stamps are from Concord & 9th.  The leaf was heat embossed with copper ep then watercolored with Twinkling H2Os in pumpkin  Heat embossed the sentiment to make it stand out better then added some splatter with the same Twinkling H2O paint.  Torn 2 of the edges of the green mat.  Sponged some brown ink through a crackle stencil on some rust cardstock.  It was really difficult to get a good photo of this with the shimmering paint and copper embossing.

Come show us your Thankful projects and you could be chosen as our next Chic of the Week, which would then make you eligible at a chance to become our next Guest Designer!  Please limit your entries to 3.

Snowflakes

Playing along with the challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Grabbed some snowflakes from various sets, the big one is from Stampendous.  Stamped them with Broken China Distress Oxide ink and added the sentiment with Memento Nautical Blue.  Matted onto some navy cardstock and a white card base.  This came together very quick and easy!

Thanks for visiting my blog!
